Totally Fine Show

The Totally Fine Show is my latest project, which is to create a social media show that highlights current societal issues with a slightly sarcastic and disconcerting tone (sort of like Louis Theroux but slightly more annoying, slightly less enigmatic).

We ask real people their unfiltered opinions on a world that's...totally fine. Tackling hard hitting issues such as unemployment, politics, mental health, culture and everything in between. The pilot episode is about the looming dangers of AI and how people feel about its effect on the job market.

This project was conceived and produced by myself as I felt there was a gap in the market for a UK street interview show dedicated to tackling current events and real world issues. We need more discourse on rising issues that are effecting people in the UK, especially the younger generations, including the unemployment crisis, education and the effects of social media.

The brand 'totally fine' was carefully designed with the following in mind: it's memorable as a popular turn of phrase; it appeals to a wide demographic spanning from gen alpha to millennials; it's brand friendly; and it fits the format of the show — sarcastic with an edge, reflecting the serious nature of the topics and the humorous angle of the show.

Overall it was designed to contrast the grounded, everyday subject matter with a clean, carefully composed aesthetic. It gives the comedy room to breathe without sacrificing the content and production value.

The result is a concept that, with a bit of polishing, can hold its own against more established social content in this niche such as JOE, Public Opinion NYC, Subway Takes, Tiny Red Carpet and the likes.
